I just got this backpack and I love it for work! As a petite woman, it's hard to find backpacks that fit my body well (everything usually looks big). This backpack is compact and looks great for my body type. It also has great pockets and the materials seems very durable. It looks like (hopefully) it will look great over many years!

Bring back the Calais

Day 1 with my Celina, aka the Calais replacement, and I am not in love. After 6 years of heavy (mgmt. consulting) usage on the Calais, it was finally falling apart (broken zipper on the front pocket, though one still works; straps coming a little apart at the top seam). I made the difficult decision to buy a newer surely inferior version. Well, I am ready to try to figure out life support measures for the Calais and asking myself, how broken is it really?
My biggest complaint is the size of the Celina. Measurements are comparable on paper but my volume test suggests otherwise. It is too small and narrow. I cannot comfortably fit what was a “light week” for the Calais. (No way am I fitting in a waterbottle and airport change of shoes anymore.)
And worst of all- there is no excess material available for the exterior pockets. So when the main compartment is full (which mine tends to be…), you cannot comfortably reach in to find anything at all. I literally have zipper scrapes on my hands from trying to grab my AirPods out of the front shallow pocket.
I’m hoping (desperately) that it will stretch out in time. How will this ever support a two-laptop week?! Anyone know a good zipper fixer?

Stylish work backpack

This is my third Tumi backpack, and I cannot get enough of it. The number of pockets allows me to pack all of my items with ease and stay organized. I can fit my 32oz wide mouth water bottle in the side pocket to keep hydrated. Also, the sleek look of the black/gunmetal pairs well with any outfit. 10/10 recommend

More decorative than functional

For years I've been using robust and manly backpacks that were available, and last fall I decided to treat myself to the classy, feminine Celina in black with gold hardware. Well, I am accustomed to being able to easily pack 3 days' worth of gear, plus my laptop, into my old backpacks, and didn't check the capacity of this bag. It just doesn't work. I had to give my husband the overflow items (top, TSA baggie, jacket) to put into his other-brand robust backpack. Even then, the straps on the Celina feel like they are going to rip off at the shoulder seams. Am not happy and will probably pass this on to my sister, who doesn't try to pack light.
