Great Oven

Great range with eight burners. However, the oven has a minor problem. Had no problem using it at a lower temp; however, the paint at the bottom piece started to come off after using it at temp 425.

My initial reaction? Very impressive! It hasn't been hooked up yet so more on performance later.
My first impression is that the range is built well. Everything fits together well. The burners and grates are extremely solid, heavy pieces. The wire racks are just as impressive and glide smoothly. Supplying 3 per oven is generous. The metal lighted control knobs, weight of the doors action: extremely nice.
I did a lot of research before I bought and this range has more power and better features than the other imported brands and similar features to the domestic brands... for half the price.
All these features, power, and substance in most areas at an incredibly low price mean that there must be cost cutting somewhere. The stainless sheetmetal panels clearly feel like a lighter gage than the domestics (compare the overall weight to the others) which may dent easier. Also when I unpackaged it I found several screws at the bottom of the box. I also found several loose screws on the range. It is assembled with sheetmetal screws and many were stripped out and could not be tightened fully. Maybe a switch to rivets would be better?

Although we bought our range a couple of months ago, we are only now installing it in our new kitchen. It was tricky finding someone licensed to do the LP Conversion and we were a week out to Thanksgiving. I was wondering if I could still use the electric ovens before the burners were fitted for LP. I emailed customer service and got a response in hours! And they sent me videos for the installer! And helped me with my warranty registration. Wow, how refreshing to have a Customer Service department that actually does customer service!

Problems on Arrival

I would otherwise love the range, but the toe kick had blemishes, and one burner had natural gas nozzles in so tight that the soft brass stripped attempting to remove them to install Propane, so we only have use of 7 burners which is frustrating.

I purchased the 48 in Capriasca gas range about three months ago and am very happy with it, with one exception.
The steel for the rotisserie stick is too flexible, so it won't turn with a large chicken or turkey. With that said, I imagine I can get a similar hardened steel rod from a local steel supply yard, but with what we paid I would think this would be a higher quality attachment.

Other than that, the unit operates great. It took a bit of time to figure out the best methods, but now the food is coming out wonderfully.
I would recommend this to a friend!
