Trio Max Rocks!!

Love the Mobile Pixels Trio Max!! Had an original Duo from the Indigogo days that I wore out over the last couple of years and my wife bought me a Trio Max for XMas. These monitors are exceptional and make working remotely so much easier. Bought myself a second Trio Max so I could set up triple monitors. Awesome!!

Triple Laptop Monitor Screen - TRIO MAX

The Trio MAX triple screen is a lot more portable and light weight than having to bring a full 24" monitor everywhere I travel. I have this with my Macbook Pro early 2015 and it works fine and easy to install. The only thing is the screen is not as vivid as the retina display of the Macbook. I appreciate them giving extra magnets so you can attach the display to another laptop.

Great portable setup, except for the sturdiness and mounting option

I have been wanting a second monitor for my laptop for a long time now. So far, I have used this for work and school it has been a great help. The item is light for a second monitor and attaches to the back of my laptop with magnets. It is easy to carry around and is plug and play through usb. This would be a great product, however, the mounting system does not work super well and it feels a bit cheap after using it for roughly a month and a half. The monitors is made out of plastic and can be bent pretty easily, however, I am assuming this is also for weight reduction. My biggest issue is the mounting system using the magnets. The magnets has to be places on the back of the laptop and the monitor utilizes the desk it is sitting on as additional support. Even with this, the monitor is only ideally used when it is completely still. By making small adjustments to the laptop, you might have to readjust the monitor. It is not a big issue, but I would rather have something that feels more sturdy, maybe even at the cost of a little additional weight. Other than that, the monitor has a decent display and works great! I just don't think this is the product for me.

Great Addition To Help Me With Stats Work

I just wish I had more skill to get the magnets lined correctly. Other than that screen quality is great. Flexibility is awesome as well. The magnet attaching must be rocket science because I cannot get it to stay attached to the back of my laptop. Use something to prop it up level, which I am sure was not how it was meant to be used.

Very unique and perfect for those working at home

I have been working from home much more now due to Covid-19 and always find myself wanting a 2nd monitor like I have at work. I regularly use my laptop and didn’t necessarily want a full work station with stand monitors. I came across this product when looking at monitors and have been very impressed.
I’ve been using it on a 13” Macbook Pro and it is maybe a little big, but surprised it still works well despite having a larger screen than the laptop itself.
- Premium packaging and unboxing experience. Instructions were fairly thorough and helpful.
- 3 sets of magnets which I was not expecting. This lets you have a setup for 3 laptops. They are very strong but also thin which is good.
- Nice all-in-one USB-C and USB-A cord so you don’t have to deal with separate cables depending on your laptop inputs.
- Directions show you how to safely remove metal plates (although I haven’t had a need to do this).
- Like a regular monitor it has a menu and brightness buttons to change monitor visual settings.
- I was worried about magnet placement but the nature of the magnets give you a nice amount of wiggle room so you can slide the monitor to get the perfect fit once installed.
- Very thin, so you could easily transport this with your laptop to use on the go
A few qualms or things to keep in mind.
- The cable plug is on the fully extended end, if it was on the side it would be easier to hide the cable.
- In addition, a lot of USB-C laptops only have those ports on the left side, that means if the monitor is on the right, it might not reach those ports and you either need to plug into a USB-A on the right side of the laptop or use some type of extension.
- The nature of using adhesives with the magnets means those will always be on your laptop even when not using the monitor. They are fairly thin but it does look a little strange.
- The housing for the screen does feel fairly flimsy so I do have a concern if it can withstand repeated sliding open/close of the screen.
- The resistance when rotating the screen could be a little higher. When using it in portrait mode if you bend it too far back it won’t hold itself up. To be fair though, I wouldn’t ever use it in portrait angling backwards though.
- Fairly expensive, for a cheaper price you can get a very high quality regular monitor (of course this product has many advantages and is very unique though).

Easy to carry around monitor

This a great addition to my home office. I bought it after one of my monitor gave out on me. Now I carry around this with me as it is light weight and fit perfectly on my 14 inch laptop. It is very easy to set up from out of the box it comes with strong magnets to set up monitor on top your laptop screen. It does add bulk to laptop but when you need dual screen functionality it is great. Pic quality is good for doing office work.

Versatile and we'll built

This has been a good addition to my office setup. I love that I can setup the screen upward to review long excel sheets (see photo). The screen is solid and I love that it just needs a usb cable. Windows 10 recognized the screen immediately and I was good to go in less than a few seconds. I use this with a 15in Dell laptop.

This thing is pretty awesome! Very easy to set up. I was worried that the cable might not be compatible with my USB-C laptop, but the cable has a built-in adapter. So everything was pretty much plug & play without any issues. Very happy with this purchase.
