The magnets aren't strong enough..

If you put this monitor on a separate stand then it's fine. As far as attaching it to the laptop, you have to be careful pulling the screen out. It takes too much effort to slide the monitor and each time I feel like I'm going to break it. The magnets slide around and for some reason the screen droops when fully extended. Not sure yet if I'm going to take this back, but I did read from another review to use 10lbs velcro strips instead of the magnets so I'm going to try that before taking it back. Overall, this monitor shouldn't be this expensive for the problems that I'm having.
The magnets dont work and the round things cannot be removed

As others have said, I bought this and the magnets don't even support the weight of the monitor. The sticky crap on the round metal things you attach to your laptop are impossible to remove in comparison.
So now I have nigh-immovable round things on my laptop and a monitor that doesnt even stay attached when opened. Returning this asap
So I bought this monitor and I was skeptical. Turns out that the Monitor it's self is great, I have a 17" HP laptop windows 10. I did not have to install any drivers. The power cord for it is a little stiff and you have to push it in a little hard. As far as the magnets they are not strong enough to hold the monitor. I even tried to double up the magnets, so I took them off. I used Alien Tape (it's a "industrial grade" double sided tape). I put 4 small pieces on where the magnets would go and it is holding great. The Kickstand for this monitor is too short. I really do not need it but I would be nice to have for extra support. I did give a 4 stars because the monitor itself is great.
Trio Max - Love the concept - Doesn't come close to meeting expectations

I purchased the Trio Max for my Dell 17" laptop. Let me give some positives before I get to two very glaring negatives. There are no drivers necessary for Windows 10. It was a very easy Plug & Play.. The resolution is great. I liked how you could stand it up in portrait mode. Problem 1, it took too much effort to slide the screen out. The most glaring problem is it simply could not stay in place. The magnets are not nearly large enough for the Trio max. There is no way possible I could use this monitor as designed. Yes I did have the pads properly installed and the magnets fully positioned over each pad.
Such bad build quality I didn't even try to see it's picture quality

Terrible design and build quality. One of the magnets would not even work so the entire back screen just slides/falls of the back of my MacBook pro. When I try to pull out the screen the entire backside just slides off my laptop 2/3rds of the time which means you have to use two hands to pull it out. Makes the whole workflow less elegant. I'm imagining being outside and something bumps the table and the whole screen falls off and crashes to the ground. A latch system would have made more sense.
This has instructions for sitting up this monior. YOu can acually use it with your laptop to give you a second monitor and can even add 3 monitors if needed as well. This is comes in two sizes and has great picture quality and easy to set up. Clear instructions are included if you need them. Although the two sizes are much different the inches are huge in computer monitors. This is a great value for the price.
