The design and functionality of this grill is great, however, I am getting very inconsistent temperatures under the same weather conditions and using the same outlet. Sometimes I’m able to get 550°, other times, nly 350°. It has a temperament of its own.

I looked long and hard at all of the electric grills on the market, for the price point the Lumin is a standout with all of the extras that you can purchase there's not much you can't do with this grill.

Thus far this grill has exceeded expectations in every way. It reaches 650F. Cleaning is so much easier than the Weber Q grill which it replaces. We like the grease trap. It's easily removed for cleaning. It grills our ribeye steaks to a medium rare level in about eight minutes. The smoke chimney
is effective. We have a minor gripe. The grates are painted and when first heated the paint starts coming off. I recommend brushing the grates after your first heating test to avoid any paint on your food. The optional grill stand was, for us, a nightmare to assemble. I recommend skipping the stand and placing the grill on a metal table for cooking.

The grill is a perfect size for our retirement living in a smaller condo with a balcony. It heats quickly, is easy to clean and we don't have to worry about running out of fuel. Will be purchasing the griddle as well. This is our second Weber electric grill and we bought this one because we loved our other one.

I bought the electric grill to use on a townhouse deck where charcoal and gas grills are prohibited. The grill performs well, heats evenly and quickly and just needs to have a regular household outlet available. The controls are easy to use and I like that I no longer have to recycle empty propane canisters. I may even try it when camping in my RV, where I can plug it into the RV's outside electrical outlets. My 17 year old grandson enjoys using it when he visits.

I have been a very satisfied Weber customer for more than 4 decades, but my recent experience with Weber and the Lumin grill is the reason for the 1-star rating. If possible, I would have given zero stars.
I have owned the Lumin Electric Grill since October 21, 2023. I purchased it as a replacement for the Q2400 Electric Grill which failed after 4 years of heavy use (no complaints). I purchased the newer Lumin grill because it claimed to pre-heat more quickly and sear better because it reached higher temperatures. These claims were true initially. However, in the past several months I noticed that the grill was taking longer and longer to pre-heat and never reached optimal searing temperatures anymore.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue under warranty, I have a rather expensive paper weight sitting on my deck!
I definitely do not recommend this grill or Weber to anyone anymore! It's very sad to see such a formerly great company fail so miserably!

We had to give up our Weber grill as it was gas and was a new rule to only have electric at our townhouses on the deck. Disappointed at first to part with our old grill which was still in good shape after many many years. But now we have the new Lumin larger one and are so happy that we bought it. No more running out of gas, easier to clean and also like that we can put the cooking grates which are in two parts in the dishwasher. When ever people were over for a BBQ they seemed impressed and are now thinking of replacing theirs. Very happy with the Lumin Grill.
