[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this Weber Lumin Grill. Compact size but top tier performance! This grill heats up fast and can get up to 600 degrees to grill anything you want from hotdogs to hamburgers and steaks to perfection. The grates on this grill are really great and produce perfect grill marks as well! Also comes with a second pan to replace one side of the grates with and you can use that to smoke, defrost, steam or warm food which really ups the usage of the grill and turns it into a 5-1 grill. Even though this is a compact grill you can easily fit 6 steaks on there at one time or 9 burgers and hot dogs to feed a nice amount of people at once easily. This is made of high quality material that will last a long time and while it has nice weight to it it is not too heavy and can easily be moved around if needed. Has an easy to use knob to adjust temperature, grill thermometer on the outside to monitor temperature and a drip try that can easily be removed. Overall this is a game changing grill for people with small spaces or if you just want an alternative to charcoal or gas grills while still maintaining peak flavor. Perfect for patios in buildings too!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. This thing is worth every penny!! We are die hard charcoal people when it comes to grilling and this my friend is a game changer for us. It's amazing. If I could give 10 stars I would. We grilled burgers and hotdogs our first time and they were perfect, just as amazing as charcoal but with out all the mess and way less time. I love that the unit is not too heavy and it is portable. I can't wait to try more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that my husband and I were skeptical about an electric grill at first. However after a few uses, we prefer cooking our fish and meat using the electric Weber Lumin now! It is so easy to use and clean and we get the same char that we love from the grill. Skip the tank refills or charcoal and invest in an electric grill!
Lumin is a great little grill - easy to use and clean - fits in small spaces - gets really hot and provides flexibility a creativity for your cooking. if you use cooking probes they can enter thur back without crimping the cable. Hold a low heat well. Great for 2 people but we have cooked ribs for 4
I live on the 2nd floor with a terrace in a condo and this compact grill works. The food cooks up delicious.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Underpowered. Not a grill. This is an outdoor oven

I bought this grill. With a cover, grill cleaner, drip pans, and tax, it was $550. I got it. It takes a solid 20 minutes to heat up. It's been 75 - 80 degrees out when I'm trying to grill too. I think in cold weather, the grill would just never get to 550 or 600F. When I open the lid, the temperature falls like a rock falls out of the sky. It will go from 550F to below 400F within 30 seconds of having the lid open. It will not make it back over 500 before the items need to be flipped. Then the temperature drops like a rock again. In BBQ'ing, things need to cook at high temps and be flipped after a few minutes. This grill can't heat back up in a few minutes after opening the lid. It's too weak. I was skeptical that anything that plugs into a 120V, 15A outlet could be powerful enough to grill. Then I read it was insulated. I thought, then it could work. I still think it could but they didn't do a good job insulating it. If the grill is 350 degrees on the inside, it is very hot to the touch on the outside. That is energy just getting away. If they insulated it much better, perhaps it could keep the heat in from the underpowered heating element and do a better job. The real solution is to make a 240V two pole unit for North America. If a BBQ is electric, it should plug into the same thing that people plug an electric hot tub into, or an electric cloths dryer, or an electric car, or an electric oven. Not a 120V, 15A outlet. For $450 sticker price for the grill, it should be a good grill. Now I've tried using the grill 4 times. Every time, it has been weak. I decided I'm not satisfied with this grill. I'm upset. I want my money back and I don't want this grill. A George Foreman grill works way better than this $550 dollar patio decoration. Weber won't take it back. They don't have a satisfaction guarantee for the grills, only for grill accessories. I bought the grill new, direct from Weber less than 1 month ago. I've had multiple back and forth emails with their support as well as called in. They won't take back the grill or give me a refund. Honestly, they should not sell Lumin grills to anyone so save face for their company. My dad uses a Weber charcoal grill. It's the only grill we had through my whole childhood. He still uses it. I trusted them. They let me down. I'm disappointed in Weber now for making in inferior grill, that really should be called on oven and not a grill, and I'm disappointed in Weber for how they are handling this situation and refusing to take the grill back.
I’m mainly a charcoal griller, but the Lumin Compact’s versatility really intrigued me. I added the expansion pack to turn the whole grill into a smoker. St Louis cut ribs came juicy, tender, and Smokey in about 3hours. Really convenient way to cook. Easy to clean is a bonus.
Excellent grill. Unlike older electric grills where I struggled to get temps above 400F, this one easily exceeds 600F on the warmup. The only problem is that because the fire box is shallow (which does help keep the profile of this grill more compact), I seem to be getting a lot of flare-ups. To some extent, this may be an operator problem as I'm still on the early learning curve.
