[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great and looks very nice. The only issue is when popping popcorn or melting butter, it sparks inside. We have to shut it off. Quickly and restart. I read using with a cup of water to help absorb some of the energy, haven't tried yet so don't know if that would be a solution or not! Other than that, it works great.

However, sparking inside the microwave when popping popcorn or melting butter is not expected behavior. This can sometimes happen if there is metal (including foil twists, metallic trim on packaging, or certain dishware with metallic accents) or food splatter buildup inside the cavity. We recommend stopping use for now and checking that you’re using microwave-safe cookware only, ensuring the waveguide cover is clean and intact, and wiping down the interior to remove any grease or residue that could cause arcing.

Using a cup of water can sometimes help balance energy when heating very small items, but sparking should not occur during normal operation. For safety, we’d like to have this looked into further. New microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are enjoying our new microwave. You don’t realize how much you use it, until you don’t have it. We had a different brand prior to this and tried to replace it with the same brand. Unfortunately, we had problems from the get go….fan was bad, new fan didn’t fit (really?) and what we needed, they didn’t make! (really…again!!) Two months into this purchase, we decided on Frigidaire. Works, is quiet and exactly what I wanted.

budget friendly over the range microwave

Old vs New

Now that I have my new Frigidaire I remember why I bought one in the first place. I went for the Frigidaire brand because of the reliability of past appliances.
