Fridgidaire over the range microwave

The microwave works very well for everything, popcorn, spaghetti, oatmeal etc. The fan has a very good suction and hardly any smells come out of air output. Good lighting too

One flaw

We have been using this consistently for a couple weeks. It was easy to install, the fan works great, and the functions work well and are easy to figure out. My only complaint is when cleaning the appliance, the two exposed metallic pieces inside the microwave stain so easily and are nearly impossible to wipe spots off of, which is a shame because the white parts of the inside clean up so well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just purchased this April 18th 2024 when the switch stopped working & couldn’t see the microwave .This one is easier to open & close . Similar model to our previous one. Frigidaire all the way for me.

Wouldn’t buy again

I bought this microwave about 8 months ago and the paint has peeled off the handle - looks terrible. Called to get a new one because it’s still under warranty, but that’s COSMETIC so I have to buy it. Ridiculous, had a GE for 23 years and it looked the same as when I bought it. Will be going back to GE and not recommending this product to anyone.

Great Microwave, advertised dimensions could be improved

So far we are enjoying our new microwave and have not had any issues. It works well and timings are very similar to our old microwave. The buttons sometimes don’t seem that sensitive and I feel like I really need to push on them but that just might be because it is new and they need to be worn in? The door shuts more quietly than our last microwave.
Our only annoyance so far is that we were unaware that it vented from the top and would need extra clearance there from the cabinets. Our cabinets were 15 inches deep and this microwave was advertised as 15 3/4 inches deep, which was the same as our previous microwave (which vented from the front). No where other than in the actual manual did it specify that we needed an additional 2 inches of clearance from the cabinets. Luckily my husband is handy and was able to build some blocking to bring the microwave farther out from the wall, but it was certainly stressful realizing the microwave we had purchased and unboxed would not technically fit our space as it was. I think it would be helpful if the advertised depth included a note that indicated an additional two inches of clearance was needed in front of the upper cabinets. Maybe this is now the case for all microwaves, but as we were replacing one that was 20 years old and it was our first time buying an above range microwave we had no idea.
