Firm but still has that perfect give to make me feel comforted and held. I've been recommending it to everyone I meet/see since I got it. Even when they don't ask I make sure everyone knows I just got a new mattress, "I feel great, look at me I'm glowing!!! It's my new mattress. I'm so rested. Tuft & Needle, check em' out if you want this super sweet peaceful vibe I've got going on."

Mattress is pretty soft. If friend is a side or stomach sleeper it would be an 8/9 recommendation. If they are a back sleeper it would be a 4/5.
