[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old son has been obsessed with Donkey Kong lately, so he was very excited to add a DK themed Lego set to his collection. The set was pretty simple to build, taking us a little under an hour. This is the first Lego set we've assembled that didn't have paper instructions, which was a little disappointing. The app was easy to follow, but there are times when my son wants to build the set alone and it's easier for him to have paper instructions on hand vs. using my phone. Once assembled the set is super festive looking, and adding in Mario, Luigi, or Peach (not included) allows the set to play music which my son was very excited about!

Actually plays tunes when connected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have been and always will be huge fans of LEGOs, just as I was when I was younger. The Dixie Kong’s Jungle Jam is an adorable expansion set that is part of the Super Mario LEGO Collection. There are 174 LEGO pieces that connect to form a stage, including tiny musical instruments for Dixie Kong and Squawks. There are steel drums, a guitar, and even a tiny microphone! My favorite part is the string of lights that cross the entire stage! Another great aspect is that LEGO is actively trying to switch from plastic packaging to paper, and this is the segue. The outer box is cardboard and the inner pieces are in individualized plastic packaging.
The stage of this set connects to the larger Starter Course. Once it’s all connected with one of the protagonists in center stage, you can rotate LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach to activate and play actual musical numbers!

Great set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has always like Donkey Kong and LEGO building as well so this was a no brainer to get. The set does a good job creating Donkey Kong's jungle world out of brick building. The minifigures are well crafted with a lot of attention to detail. Building the set with my 8 year old was easy due to the instructions being so clear and intuitive. The set is interactive with swinging vines and rolling barrels so that is extra enjoyment. I couldn't be more happier with this set and my son still plays with this consistently.

Cute Dixie Kong's Jungle Jam Expansion Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Legos, so I purchased this Dixie Kong's Jungle Jam Expansion Set about a month ago because it was the ideal set for him. There are numerous pieces in this set, so please make sure your child is of the right age.
This set is a lot of fun both entertaining to use and entertaining to construct. Building Dixie Kong and her animal companion Squawks was a lot of fun, and they look lovely. Their tiny stage is charming and fits in with the other LEGO DK components perfectly. When Peach (or Mario or Luigi) is placed on the stage's focal point and you start to spin it, the music will start to play. It's a great social play set with a musical adventure.

Legos + Mario is a win/win

He can configure them different ways and combine with a few other sets he already has of this group. Love the interactive character pieces that work with all of the Mario Lego sets.

Fun and Engaging

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego set was small but a lot of fun to put together and play with afterwards. It is well built and holds together easily after use. It came packaged in individual bags labelled with numbers that made it easier to put each section together. You do have to either scan the code or go online to get the instructions because they are not included in the packaging. What we really enjoyed is the moving parts. The wheels turn and the bird and Dixie Kong turn with it. We will be getting more of these to set up the whole scene.
