Waste of money

Our first Lego advent calendar, was hoping to make it a yearly tradition. Every day has been a let down sadly. Even for my 4 year old Lego/marvel obsessed son. Sometimes you get builds and have zero clue what it's supposed to even be

Three of my child’s days did not match the contents in the box. Tough to explain that to a three year old!

Oh no, there's nothing super about that! If you open the end of the box and slide out the tray, you can check if some contents were swapped around. If you find that anything's missing, please contact us at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can help.

Loki throne, but no Loki?!

Overall my 5 year old really loved doing the calender every day. He thought it was all pretty neat. However we were all disappointed when we got the Loki throne, but there's no Loki?? We think Wong could have been excluded.

Diminishing returns

My partner and I always look forward to opening our advent calendars for the year. I'm a fan of the star wars sets, and she usually gets a marvel one.
This year, the disparity in quality between the two is honestly shocking. The marvel set is sadly lacking in both Minifigure quality and build quality. With close to 100 fewer pieces and days with borderline useless builds such as web accessories, and a single cape piece, the value for money and overall excitement to continue is really low.

Compared to previous years, the disappointment this brought my partner as she enviously eyes mine is sad to see. There's almost a complete lack of MCU related builds, such as iconic vehicles or imagery. Much of the Christmas builds come unwelcomed, as outside of the Christmas tree many don't fit within the marvel theme and are fairly uninspired.
I'd love to see future advent calendars with higher quality, because at this rate we're unlikely to buy another again.

One day is ONLY a cape :(

I have bought my 2 big boys Lego Advent Calendars for a few years now along with the hubby. They have always had a blast with them. Today my son opened up a cape, a CAPE!! He's so disappointed and just keeps asking why is there just a cape and what is it for. I feel so bad as it's a tradition I started with them and feel like I let him down. We LOVE lego in our house of 4 boys and don't see it stopping anytime soon but please do better next year lego. It's breaking my heart today to see him so confused. Other reviews say Dr. Strange is tomorrow, maybe if he had come first and the cape the next day it would have been different? He's not a spoiled child who wants everything, he's grateful for anything he gets, just disappointed today.

Rip Off

Lego hates an honest review they have now refused to post my review 3 times. I am now posting again so people know the truth.
Lego is so cheap that they literally split a mini-figure into to two sets on this advent. In an advent that is $10 more that the generic ones they literally split one of the "days" into a single part...a cape... for Dr. Strange. A single part that should have been included in the Dr. Strange figure.
This literally made my nephew cry and feel cheated upon discovery. This is the last advent we will ever buy.

Barely Marvel themed

We only got 3 things that were Marvel related which were an avenjet, Loki's throne, and an arc reactor on a stand which you can't even tell what it is without looking it up. Everything else is stuff that should be in the city advent calendar. Not even a mini hellicarrier or mini Avengers tower. Just laziness on LEGO's part. And alot of people have had problems with their calendar. Someone I know gkt the wrong thing in a bkx which they should've gotten a few days later. For me I got an extra jetpack in a whole different box which I shouldn't have. I hope to see better from LEGO next year.

Worse Advent

This is a really bad advent. Potter and Star Wars are 100 times better. Getting poor accessories on days is a bad choice Lego. If Lego can’t think of better items than webs, cape , or tree stand then it’s really time to think about retiring the Marvel Advent. I’m going to need to see awesome reviews before considering next years.
