I love it but the chimney with the purple stuff keeps detaching when you spin the wheel. Hard to keep fixing

Poor design build

Great concept. Love the cottage. But…. Way too much is happening inside. The roof design makes it incredibly difficult to access the inside. I’ve never been a fan of the Lego roof designs. They are not very sturdy. The waterwheel design is terrible.
I was close to completing the cottage and the waterwheel came apart. I am now in the process of disassembling the cottage in order to fix it.

Good, but a little disappointing

As with all things Lego, this was nice. If you’re a Disney or Hocus Pocus fan, you’ll love it. But, for the price and number of pieces this was way too easy and quick to put together, which was disappointing for me. I can’t remember the last time a set left me with a “meh” feeling when I was done. It’s an “adult” set, but a kid can put it together in a day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

cute nostalgic set

My daughter has been a tad frustrated as the piece she received to make the fire pop out of the chimney is the wrong piece and too short so her fire will not come all the way up. She is also missing a piece to that part of the build. She also found she had a missing piece elsewhere but fortunately had a substitute in a random box of pieces.
Otherwise the set is adorable though perhaps small for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I loved the details, it’s one of my favorite movies and I saved up to buy it, however there were missing pieces and it was rather frustrating for such an expensive set.

Too dark, crowded , too many loose connections

It looks amazing while building it. Very detailed. But the wheel wouldn't attach securely and so the fire in the chimney wouldn't work. By the time I tried to open it up and stick my hand in there to try to fix it, a few mores pieces got knocked out of place and fell off. The last room to be constructed wouldn't attach to the side of the house and I didn't have anything secure enough to be able to press on on the other side of the house. And the inside was too dark and crowded to b able to put it all in place again, so I gave up and just tossed all the loose pieces inside and put it in the cupboard. I may have to take it ll apart again to reattach everything that fell out of place

I wanted so badly to have a 5 star experience with this build. I'm a 30 something year old that grew up on Hocus Pocus, but it was hard enough to give it 1 star.
I was missing integral pieces from 11/15 bags. I was unable to move on until I scoured all of my extra bricks from other builds, the replacements take ages....it's just been a nightmare.
The build is highly fragile, it's nearly impossible to move anything around on the interior. The nostalgic aspect was really sucked out by the frustration of missing parts...for the price I just can't vibe with this set. Would never recommend this set to anyone.

Movie accurate! Flimsy build & not for playing

This was great, all the Easter eggs, rat tail etc. flimsy build, the pieces did not stay well. The wheel that turns the purple flames up and down kept breaking, and then you can’t get at it to fix it. Very compact. Not for play. Can’t really see in the house. Needed hinges to open up more. Too stuffy. Favorite movie and accurate build. Wish it came with a Billy! And the two bullies.
