Good Build

My 17 yr old son enjoyed the set, although he didn't feel it was the best value due to licensing, but still worth it.

Excellent Minifigure Selection and Great Dinos
on June 9, 2024

Jurassic Park was my favorite childhood movie, so I was ecstatic when a whole line of LEGO sets dedicated to the movie was announced.
This is a fun set with a great selection of Minifigures. The T-Rex and raptor look fantastic, but it would have been nice to get one or two more raptors to make the set more accurate to the movie scene. I also feel like the visitor center build could have been a little more substantial and flushed out, but the build at least captures the gist of it. Overall, I’m really happy with this line of anniversary sets.
LEGO, please consider a line of The Lost World: Jurassic Park sets for its 30th anniversary in 2027! We have never had any sets based on that movie, so I’m sure a line for its anniversary in a few years would be an absolute hit!

Welcome To Jurassic Park!

Verified Purchase:No
This is one of the best Lego sets I have ever gotten!
PROS: The detail is excellent, the dinosaurs are a welcome addition to my collection, the Minifigures are very cool, and I just loved the bowl of green jello.
CONS: I wasn't disappointed with most of the set, but I do wish the skeleton was bigger, I wish there was a second Velociraptor Minifigure, and I wish the banner could fall all the way off (like in the movie), instead of popping out on one side.
All in all, this is one of my favorite Lego sets ever!

Lackluster set

As a classic JP enthusiast I was incredibly excited for these sets to be released, I did purchase all 5 of them as its a theme and like to collect them (will be leaving reviews for them as well.
>Pros:
*A Trex which is close to scale, in comparison to the absolute monster lego gave us with the giant Gate years ago which I have
*Great looking Trex skeleton display
*proper angle design with front of view of the Visitor Center
*Appreciate the banner being included
*Good minifigure inclusion of Wu and Arnold
>Cons:
*Velociraptor is way over sized and disproportionate the minifigs
*No inclusion of the control room which is pivotal scene in the movie with getting the park back online
*Way too many stickers, lego do better and give us printed pieces, especially for sets that can be collectors...especially for a set like this which has alot of lego stickers on pieces that should have been printed
*No inclusion of the end escape jeep?
When dinosaurs ruled the earth banner is a plastic piece instead of what should have been a cloth printed piece
Overall, Im very disappointed with what should have been the crown jewel set of the JP 30th anniversary set, especially for the price that was paid. I honestly wpuld have preferred it if lego had charged 200 and made the VC larger and more detailed. Why didnt you give us a UCS version of this iconic place from Steven Spielbergs best movie created that still sets the bar for animatronic and CGI movie usage. All of these sets which are supposed 30th anniversary sets were being looked forward to by those of us now adults who saw this movie as a kid bit you basically took Malcoms line from the movie and you patented and packaged it and slapped it on a lunch box and sold it to use banking on our nostalgia. Your team was so preoccupied with whether or not they could instead of whether or not they should...and well there it is.

Playable, Not Displayable
on June 27, 2023

I'm a huge JP fan, so was excited to finally get a build for the Visitor's Center! Unfortunately, there is a lot of elements of this set that I wish were different: more movie accurate T-Rex, a different/more detailed roof build, larger foundation with steps and water fountains, a different fossil build (and/or more), a control room; this set was designed for playability in mind - which is totally fine! Even then, you only get one Velociraptor, and the banner doesn't "fall," it rockets out from its holder and risks losing a crucial piece in the process. When placed next to any vehicles in the series, the center is dwarfed. I also wish we could have gotten stickers for the iconic doors! All in all, it's a fine enough play-set, but would only recommend for a JP fan who's willing to spend $$$ for Dr. Wu, and to say that you have all sets in the series!

Favorite of the New Sets

Of the 30th anniversary sets, the visitor’s center is definitely my favorite build. It’s an easy build with really cool elements from the film. The banner dropping mechanism was a great touch; only wish it came with a second velociraptor to make it more film accurate. Overall, a tremendous set.
