Hood install gone wrong

This hood was installed above the island range our newly built home in Panama City Beach. It looks really bad! There is a color mismatch between top and bottom chute parts, and the seams on both sides are wide and uneven. I have shown it to several others (5) among which a kitchen designer and everyone agrees, it looks really bad. The distributor seems to be at a loss, and their installers are also. I can share pictures. Can you please assist?

Buyer Beware - Blower Motor Failure

This is a beautiful vent hood, and it works great. Unfortunately, it doesn't work long.
The damper flap fails, and binds the blower motor. You'll also find that the replacement of the blower motor costs as much, or more, as the entire unit.
it's a problematic design, and I encourage you to perform an internet search for this model and "damper flap failure." This is a known issue, without an affordable fix.

This range hood, while visually appealing, is unfortunately constructed with poor material quality. After just 2 years, the blower motor has failed, and replacing it costs as much as purchasing a new unit. This design is not only disappointing but also leads to costly replacements. GE should consider improving their product design to avoid overcharging customers for essential parts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

had this product for 3 years, the blower motor had already gone bad, and replacement cost over 1k, its almost the same price as the new unit.
