Looks great except scratchs from manufacturer

Love the look and function of the hood. How ever while manufacturing the protective film was cut off to install the two lights. A knife was used to cut the film and left scratches on the metal. Spending this kind of money I would think better care would have been taken to protect the finish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We apologize about the markings from the protective film. We'd like to share some cleaning tips that can help reduce the appearance of the mark. We recommend trying to clean the area with a warm detergent solution, then drying with a soft microfiber cloth.

Excellent and sleek hood

GE Hood

Hood fan is very noisy. It is also mounted so high that it doesn't do a good job of pulling out smoke from the stove. Even though it has several light settings, the light is not very bright. Also, the top of the hood shows dust easily. The fan came with our new home. It may look good but wouldn't be my choice in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to help go over the sounds you are noticing and with the ventilation.
If you are noticing louder than normal sounds and poor ventalation, we recommend checking the ductwork. This hood requires 8" minimum ducting. Any smaller can cause improper airflow and increased sounds. Also, ensure that nothing is blocking the vents. Unable to get service or repair for light failure due to possible power system failure. System has high noise level. System less than 2 years old and lighting has failed tried replacing lights and still will not work
