It is so difficult to decide about mattresses, especially because the vast majority of "reviews" are written by individuals who receive a kickback for purchases. We have had several tuft and needle mattresses, and they have all been great. I loved the original, but this mint hybrid is simply fantastic. The ease of set up, especially to get it up a narrow stairwell, is a huge bonus. Although, I always felt that I favored very firm mattresses, this one has excellent support with just the right amount of softness in the top layer. It has great edge support, I have found that these work best with a supportive platform underneath, most beds do not have the adequate slat spacing or structure. I used "ZINUS No Assembly Metal Box Spring, 9 Inch White Mattress Foundation, Sturdy Metal Structure, Split Queen". The box is a little heavy for one person to drag up the stairs, but I was able to set up the whole thing by myself ( 69 yr old woman). The only reason we replaced our original tuft and needle was because we got a new bed and we needed a little higher mattress. The original was still great after five years or so but I do like this new one better. The cost is very reasonable. The quality of construction is great. Do not listen to those who tell you that Tuft n Needle is a good "starter mattress" or just okay for a guest bedroom. They are usually just trying to sell you a more expensive mattress.

We upgraded from a queen sized Avocado mattress to a King T&N hybrid and are sleeping more soundly than ever. There is no transfer motion from your partner and it feels very supportive and ergonomic. I’m glad we made the switch. Highly recommend!!

This mattress is the best ever made. It also keeps me cool through the night. It is firm but I feel like I melt into it! This is my third tuft and needle mattress and can honestly say they have always been perfect.

Great site that guided me to pick a hybrid as a first time foam mattress purchase. Easy to set up and immediately poofed up when final layer of plastic was removed. Very comfortable from the first night. Very pleased with this way of buying a mattress. Recommended by my daughter and son in law and our experience was satisfying.

Very pleased with this mattress! I am so glad we went with the hybrid mattress. It is the perfect amount of firm but still has a soft top layer. So happy to have some affordable low tox options for mattresses out there!

I’m disappointed in how firm this mattress is. I slept on an original T&N mattress- not a hybrid- and now I wish I hadn’t upgraded to the hybrid. Worst of all, I gave my original away so I can’t go back to sleeping on it. Wish there had been a store I could’ve gone to test the mattress before I purchased it. It’s also not as “cooling as I expected. I still feel heat from the mattress when I’m sleeping- not quite as intense as the original

Since we make our mattresses with freshly poured foam, it can take a couple of weeks for the mattress to acclimate to its new home, and you to it.
