This product is used on my boat and replaced a previous acurite unit that failed. The sensor head was identical which was great as it fit in the same holes. It was very quick to set up and worked as expected. The unit was very poorly packaged and it arrived with the top open and torn. It was also missing the lightning detector, but a replacement was promptly sent after I called. The display is bright and easily read, but not very intuitive. You have to switch screens to see outside and inside readings which is awkward and unlike the previous model. The manual is incomplete (I read every word) and the behavior of the display does not mirror it, especially for the rain reading. Sensor update speed is quite slow and it lacks battery backup on the display.

My wife and I like being able to see what the weather conditions are around us. We have an above ground pool and being able to see if lightning is in the area will be a benefit. The display is easy to read and the information it provides (outdoor and indoor) is helpful.
