It has only been operational for a week and too early to rate it 5 stars. Everything seems to be working except for the lightning sensor due to a lack of a storm to give it a test. The display is outstanding compared to my similar older unit which we considered good. The outside unit was still operational when I removed it after approx. 5 years. My concern is the longevity of the display but if it lasts as long as my old one, I will be happy. We put the old outside unit in storage as a back-up in case the new one goes south after the warranty. It communicated with the new display for a few days until I got around to installing the new 5 in 1 outside unit.

I have purchased several Accurite Weather Stations In the last ten years for myself and others. Great for farm use. However this unit to my surprise did not come with battery backup. I figured battery backup would be standard for a weather station. We loose power from time to time here in SC and this unit just resets all data lost. I learned a lesson and will research the unit before spending my hard earned money on it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
