unit has good features, but after a few months the transmitter goes weak and you receive 0 bars on the receiver, therefore there is no temperature tracking. Save your money, another donation to recycle.

Weather Forcaster model 13044 is supposed to be programmed with the correct time and date after manually setting your time zone and Daylight savings time preferences. My Weather Forcaster was about ten minutes fast when I first set it up on April 27, 2017, and it keeps gaining time. It in now 23 minutes fast on June 3. There seems to be no way to reset the time. Otherwise it works well.

I just got gifted one of these. Less then 20 ft from sensor after 10 min sensor signal fades to nothing. Done the side by side recommendation. Using Duracell batteries. Changing the signal channel etc. Nothing works. This seems to be a common theme from browsing reviews on multiple weather stations you guys make. Great display but unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please verify you are using the battery recommendations and try the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4ºF/-20ºC) in sensor.

Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland.

Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage.

Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts.

Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries.

Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended.

Hard Reset

-Remove batteries from both units
-Change the ABC switch
-Place batteries in the sensor first
-Place batteries in the display, let the two units sit side by side until you read outdoor information
-Wait unit the units connect before placing them outside
