Screw the cheap set, the mattress is all that matters. I saw many reviews saying it was soft, that it never fully inflated, was uncomfortable etc etc. I purchased this mattress after researching the best mattresses for side sleepers that weren’t ridiculously expensive. I’d consider this to be a good price for a quality mattress. Same price as a freaking phone AND it should last a minimum of ten years.
I weigh about 130 pounds and have this mattress on a wooden slats kind of bed frame that does not require a box spring. I haven’t had any issues.
Lots of folks said it was on the softer side. I’d say barely. It’s about a 6/10. Not exactly split middle 5, leans just a little bit soft. but maybe this is because of my weight. I find that when I’m sitting or laying on parts of the bed I don’t regularly sleep on, it’s honestly pretty firm. I sleep in the middle of the bed and I’ve had it for a little over a month, so that part is kind of broken in.
I think it’s super comfy in my regular sleeping spot. It conforms to the curves of my body so I always feel supported, but not so supported that I don’t also feel soft and comfy. I ALWAYS feel soft and comfy in this bed. I noticed that ever since I started sleeping in it, I wake up in almost the exact same position I fell asleep in. No more moving around like crazy and waking up constantly at night!!
I read that sessy time would be difficult with an all memory foam mattress but honestly, I didn’t feel stuck at all. Quickly flipping around was smooth and no problem for either of us.
I wasn’t fully moved in so I don’t know exactly how long off gassing took, but it was fine after two days and didn’t smell.
Mattress is nice and cool too.
