I wanted to love this mattress

Because of all the great ratings and reviews I saw online I had high expectations that I don't feel were met. It is not a comfortable as I would like. The sides lack support when sitting or laying on the edge (kids are bed hogs). I also like a much firmer mattress so I find it hard to get comfortable and roll over if necessary. Overall however, it is not horrible and an improvement on my old matress.

Thought it would be better

I did significant research on this and comparable mattresses and Nectar came out on top. It’s fine but doesn’t really limit motion transfer as well as I hoped. It’s also quite warm.

Mostly Comfy

I purchased a base together with my mattress.
Pros:
* I can adjust my head or feet height for comfort
* I like the light underneath the bed when all I need to do is something quick without turning on the overhead light
* The mattress itself is mostly comfortable

Cons:
* The preset TV and reading bed adjustment settings are identical, and both feel too high for either
* If you need to sleep in total darkness, the bed has a low light that is permanently on while plugged in. I don't need total darkness, but it did take a while to get used to the light. I cycled through the light options a few times before I realized that was the "off" option
* The foam on the mattress never fully spread out, despite letting it air out for a couple of days after unboxing it and a few months of use. There are pockets at each corner on the top that have no foam. There's about a 6" stripe across the foot of the mattress that is padding-free. It makes my legs hang at a weird angle depending on how I'm laying down.

Neck Pain

I hate this bed and could find more comfort sleeping on the floor. I can't sleep in our new bed because it messes up my neck. I've woken up in terrible pain to the point of tears. I've mostly been sleeping in our old bed since having the new mattress because I wake up miserable. I've had to sleep in the Nectar Classic the past 2 nights in a row and I've never regretted anything more in my life because I've been in tremendous pain and I'm probably going to have to sleep in the recliner for now until my neck is better, but I might have to go see my Dr because it's just about unbearable. Oddly enough my husband has enjoyed the bed, or at least hasn't had any problems, maybe it is because we sleep different. I am a stomach sleeper and he is a back sleeper, but I'm going to talk to him about returning it and finding something else.

This mattress arrived quickly and was so easy to unpackage. I have waited a few months to write this review as it’s the first mattress I’ve bought in 12 years and my first foam. I am a very hot sleeper and worried the foam would trap heat making me sweaty while I slept. ai will say I have had a few nights where I woke up and had to change my shirt I was so sweaty. But it is such a comfortable mattress otherwise that I think I will keep it and hit the heat down a couple of degrees at night. I will also say this is my first King sized mattress and I’m pleased with how well it distributes weight, I have 3 children under 9 who climb into bed with me at different points in the night and I never wake up from movement or taco bed sinking. Overall great quality and so cozy. I knew I needed an upgrade when I started waking with neck and back pain most mornings and this has done the trick.
