Super back support mattress

I was skeptical about a bed in a box! This mattress is heaven out of a box! It’s soft but supportive where it needs to be. My son broke his back and his old mattress was causing severe back pain. After buying a Nectar mattress his back pain has decreased dramatically! Best purchase ever!

Good quality but not for me

I bought this mattress because my 3-year-old Nolah, which was highly-rated for side sleepers at the time, stopped being comfortable and my back pain increased. My chiropractor and I narrowed it down to the mattress, especially after I had been sleeping on a very firm mattress at my mother's for a few days, which really helped my back pain.
The Nectar was also highly rated for side sleepers, and most reviews gave it a 6.5 - 7 firmness rating.
The mattress and accessories package came in a timely fashion, and the first couple of nights were an improvement for my back. But now after about a month, I think I'm going to return it. I am 5'10" and 170 lbs. When I lay on the mattress, I sink farther into the Nectar than I ever did on the Nolah. It provides good support all around no matter what position I lay, but 70 years experience has shown me that a firmer, less sinking support is more comfortable for my back. One night I even laid on my yoga mat on the floor to ease the back pain...I only wish I could actually sleep on my back.
So I don't have any complaints about the quality of the Nectar. It just doesn't work for me. And it might very well be that it's not the mattress at all. But when I feel OK when I go to bed and wake up every morning with a very stiff back, it seems like a different mattress might help. Or maybe it's that age thing.
