We bought our nectar mattress and the nectar foundation in 2018 when we moved into our new house. At first we both slept pretty well on it, though it was honestly nothing revolutionary, just comfortable enough. In the past 1 to 2 years of owning the mattress, both my husband and I are getting intense middle and lower back pain due to the lack of support in the mattress. Your hips really sink into it, which forces the erector spinae in your middle back to contract. I like to sleep on my back a good bit, but if I sleep on my back all night I will definitely have aching muscles in the morning. The side is better, but does not fix the problem. It feels like such a waste of money to replace this mattress after only 3.5 years, but it will be worth it to improve our spinal health. I only ever saw really good reviews of nectar back when we bought, but maybe that's because no one is leaving reviews after more than a month or so. So I'm hoping to help someone out there who knows that they need really good back support, because I just don't think this is the mattress for that.

The mattress is very firm which suits me. After about three weeks I noticed that the spot where I lie seemed a softer and maybe a bit recessed so I rotated it. In all fairness, I’ve spent a lot of time in bed since I received this mattress because I’m waiting for other furniture to be delivered and it’s been the only place to be! I’m hoping I don’t need to rotate it this often. Everything else has been great.
