Best sleep

We received the mattress one day before I had heel surgery. I am a side sleeper but with the cast have to become a back sleeper for 6 weeks. This new mattress has been awesome for that especially when you aren't used to back sleeping. Absolutely love it.

Perfect except for one issue

I am only 4 days in so I am not sure this is a fair or informed review...Usually, they recommend to give a mattress a couple weeks to a month before making a decision to give a chance to adjust to it. I would prefer at least a month before being asked for a review. That said......
The bed is PERFECT in every way so far, except one that I am working on. I am having overheating problems. BTW-if you are getting too hot, I figured out that microfiber sheets are a BAD idea in warmer climates..they are made of micro polyester fibers...polyester does not breath well and tends to hold in heat. As soon as I put 100% cotton sheets on the nectar mattress the situation was immediately much improved though not completely resolved. I'm in sunny California.
But it is happening at about the same time at night and the mattress seems fine the rest of the time so far no matter how many hours I am in it (haven't tried a nap during the day which is a warmer time period though). This leads me to believe that this may be MY body temperature having an issue at the same time every night rather than the mattress (which would heat up in a given time period laying in it like clockwork regardless of time of night- I AM menopausal and hot flashes ARE a possible thing. So I am working at determining where the problem is originating rather than just immediately throwing my hands up in the air and sending it back. I find this mattress to be well worth working to figure out the issue. Also it is currently on a solid wood platform...I had the thought that maybe it would do better in a slatted support situation to allow for more air access underneath. Just ideas. I love that I have the year trial to give me the time to work these issues out if I can.
Otherwise I LOVE this mattress. Every other single thing is perfect about it. It is nice and firm while giving way to pressure point areas enough. I am a bit over 200 lbs, sleep on my side primarily, and I don't sink in that far at all. Mostly my body is ON the mattress rather than IN the mattress except for the pressure point areas which are comfortably cradled. Moving and turning over is almost as easy as a spring mattress...not a problem at all and I can toss and turn alot if my health isn't being nice to me.
The mattress is a solid piece of work. It's got good weight to it (which is fine for me). It's about 83 lbs or so by itself. Still it is easier to manipulate than a spring mattress which flops and leans when you put it up on end to move it. I have turned the nectar mattress on the side end to mess with sheets and the sheet suspenders while it is on the platform and it was very reasonably doable.
And finally, I am coming from a spring mattress that had gotten down to about 4-5 inches tall and which the springs were JUST under the surface as all the padding has gone to heck. My body hurt, I woke up hurting, I went to be hurting and sleep was not restful, more like treading water to keep from dying when I could manage to sleep. It was BAD! I feel SO much better on the nectar, I'm not fighting to get a comfy position and when I wake I don't hurt anymore. Also- 6 hours of sleep on the nectar leaves me feeling a ton more rested than 6 hours on the old mattress. I'm starting to feel like a new person.
I like this mattress enough that next month I'm going to finance my son getting one as he too needs a new mattress. He's having back problems and I don't think his current mattress is helping that any. We can't really afford it with both of us on disability, but you can't afford to NOT get decent sleep and be able to go through your day without pain...so we'll have to figure it out.
I'm giving updates on how the mattress adjustment is going that will culminate eventually in a final decision and a final review on youtube...search winds of change...:)

We have enjoyed our Nectar so far. Much better than our last mattress. Maybe more firm than I would like, but my husband loves that about it. No pain or any other problems since we got it.

So far, so good.

I've only slept on the bed 3 times now but so far it reminds me of my 5,000 dollar tempurpedic. The difference is obviously the price and this mattress seems firmer and more confirming. If I had to choose, based off my limited experience this far, I would choose the Nectar.
