Constant FT (full tray) flashing and unit shutting off.

For the past 3 days my unit has been turning off every 10-15 minutes flashing FT. I have emptied the unit repeatedly. I mean, I took it to the bathtub and let it drain and left it the for almost an hour to make sure it was empty. 15 minutes after connecting it again, it shuts off. I have had this unit for almost a year and it was working fine when I first got it. I am disabled! Constantly having to empty this unit has caused me great physical pain. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless they are an a/c repair tech.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great AC for small room

Initially, I was put off from buying this unit despite the reliability and features it offers, because of the various reviews that said it was noisy. Obviously for a unit that is used in a nursery - noise would be an issue.
I went ahead and decided to try it, as I have another Danby Portable Air Conditioner that is larger, and it is the quietest one I've ever had. (I've had many through the years.)
I am glad I did. This unit is a great size for our needs, has great features AND is relatively quiet!
We have a professional Audio DB meter. We metered this one - here's is what we found:
IF you do not install the exhaust hose and just turn on the machine, . . .Yeah it is as noisy as the review that has a video shows, . . . The noise is amplified by the fan and the exhaust air being heard.
When you install the exhaust hose properly, have the unit on a flat level floor and not smack next to any other item that could vibrate from the fan movement, the unit's overall noise is acceptable.
We measured the overall noise with a professional DB meter 2 feet away from the louvers.
The unit on Low is 52 - 54 DBs
The unit on high is 62 - 64 DBs.
This is significantly lower than the unit we were replacing that ran at 74-76 DBs on low.
In addition to the lower noise now - I do like the ''follow me" feature on the remote. I can put the remote in the warmest corner of the room and the unit will keep cooling until that corner is also cooled to the temperature we set.
Some people have complained about the remote. Yes, I have to agree that, although stylish, they should have just gone with a larger remote with more mechanical feature buttons. This one requires that you step through a button with a series of button presses to get to another feature. Unless you just use a remote as a 'set and forget' -- this one is not quick for instant feature changes other than temperature and fan.
BTW - Just a tip from a long time Portable Air Conditioner user, . . . get some simple air duct insulation and tape it around the hose.
I've now seen exhaust hose insulated wraps that are sold, . . .But I have not tried one of those yet.
It helps keep the warmth from the hot air leaving by way of the exhaust hose from radiating into the room. Much more efficient.

Quite compatible, good design,price friendly. Hope this A/C can last long. May use this room to room. This is the second one we have. The first one we had is the bigger one.

Works well for the bedroom; cools the room in a very short time. Set up was easy. I did find the AC noisy but it does the job of cooling the room. The reason I chose it was was for it aesthetic appearance, other AC'a look very industrial but this one is has a pleasing appearance.
