Cool!

Newly purchased, but so far, so good! The only issue I have is that the exhaust hose isn't long enough. I live in a basement apartment where the windows are at ground level. Will need to buy a longer hose to reach properly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello MegC,

We are grateful that you took the time to leave us a review. The unit was designed with the length of the hose in mind and has only been tested under those conditions. Instead use an additional fan to blow the cool air to other locations. Thank you for choosing Danby Products.

Regards,

Earl

Noisy but keeps room cool

My only complaint is this unit is very noisy! When the air conditioner kicks in, it sounds like a old running loud fridge! On the positive side, it does keep the room cool and is easy to set up!

Hi Joe,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. You can try to give your unit a hard reboot. Unplug it and plug it back in after 15-20 minutes. This allows the unit to go back to factory settings. If you still encounter the same issue after performing the hard reboot, don't hesitate to contact our consumer support team at consumerservice@danby.com or fill out your information at https://www.danby.com/support/ to escalate the noise issue of your unit.

Regards,

Earl

Good for 2 years

Worked well for 2 years and I cleaned the filters often. It keeps starting and stopping when the room is 75 degrees in the 250sq ft bedroom and I even set it down to 65 and it still stops all the time.

Hi Bob2777,

I appreciate you sharing your experience. It sounds frustrating to have the air conditioner start and stop unexpectedly, especially after two years of use. This could be due to temperature sensitivity or issues with the thermostat reading. I recommend checking the placement of the unit and ensuring it's not blocked by furniture.

If you need further assistance or troubleshooting, please reach out to our consumer service team at consumerservice@danby.com. We’re here to help.

Regards,
Earl
