Stop working after not even a year of operation and difficult to have it repair
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good at first but............doesn't last

Work well just a little past the warranty time after that it begins to frost and just stop deshumudifiing. I did contact the support. Encouraging in the beginning, they ask me to perform a serie of tests which i did with no change. The machine was not reparable at a resonable cost. They offered me something if i buy anothe Danby deshumidifier but when i ask how much the communication just stopped.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
