This unit got the job done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this product to be used in a small room in my house that just doesn’t cool as much as the rest. It was very easy to set up and has done the job! I will say that the exhaust hose that goes from the unit to the window vent can heat up. Which in return can add heat to the room you’re trying to cool. You can purchase sleeves of insulation to prevent that! The unit is not crazy loud and does what it’s supposed to do. Easily moves around and isnt very heavy at all

Cools well, but is quite loud

Cools quite well, but is extremely loud even at the Low Fan setting. It was easy to set up and the window adapter is well designed. The airflow output is also good. This particular model is being used in a very small bedroom, so I can only speak to its ability to cool a room that is less than 150 square feet, with a 9 foot ceiling. If you cannot use a window unit (which I cannot it this room), this is a good option, but there is no question that a window unit would be much quieter.

Actually, this product is not as efficiently concerning the voltage it claims to use., it cramp a 900-1000 voltage while is in high mode. is a concerning issued with the electricity here where i live. The cooling stream is not constant, I think it it should be sync with the temperature control and it does not reach it.Over the packaging is good, it a well-designed product,

Hi,
We appreciate you leaving a review for this portable air conditioner. We're sorry to hear this unit's not cooling properly. Staying cool is important this time of year and we want to help.
Please know that this unit requires 115 volts for operation. Appliances with compressors have a brief surge of power when the compressor cycles on. This is called the "surge" or "start-up" amps, and is about 2x to 3x the running amps. For additional energy information, please refer to the energy guide in the following link.
Please let us know if you have any more questions about this unit. We're always here to help.

AWESOME PORTABLE AC UNIT!

This Portable AC Unit is Awesome for the size room I'm in, in fact it's the right size. Now for those that may wonder why the hose attachment falls out, you may have not been aware that once you insert it into the plastic frame, you know the one that the window close onto, you have to either while its inserted, either slid it to the far left or the far right, that in itself will lock it from coming out, second, you take the one screw that it comes with in the bag and then use either the right pre-drilled hole or the left predrilled hole that is in the house attachment that is on the left and right side of it depending if you have it either slid to the far left you will need to use the pre-drilled hole on the left or the right side of the hose attachment to screw into flat piece that the widow closes on and using a very small drill bit to drill through the flat piece of plastic that the window clamps down on to hold into place, for example, you insert the plastic piece that the hose screws into, I would highly recommend before screwing the hose into the plastic duct piece to go ahead get that basically inserted and slip it to the far left the host duct piece you know the piece that the hose screws into then goes into the window outfit that the window closes onto, then once you have that portion done, THEN, you can take the hose duct and slowly screw it into the hose outlet duct that will already be secured by either having it either slid to the far left and the one screw mounted to it, OR if you have it inserted and slid to the far right, you use the right side hole to secure it, then your all set to screw the hose into and then take the other piece that slides on the back of the ac, screw that on the hose, then Viola! you done, plug the ac in turn it on and let er rip :)

Compact efficient unit
on July 14, 2024

Cools a small bedroom efficiently. Uses less energy than the 10 year old (larger model it replaces and is quieter. It has a slight rattle when it runs. We will see if that disappears or gets worse over time. My primary goal was to find a unit that used the lowest amount of energy to reduce the load on the circuit. This was the lowest I could find.

Weird Thread on Drain Connector
on November 14, 2024

Cools ok for what it is. It's as loud as any other low-cost unit. No problems there. HOWEVER, I'm in a very humid climate (swampy part of Florida) and must use the upper drain fitting so unit doesn't shut off 3 times a day due to full tank. HERE IS THE PROBLEM- - The thread on the fitting is weird. How hard is it to design it with garden hose thread? Why the odd thread that I can find nothing at the hardware store to seal up to? Why is no accessory or adapter offered? I have several of this style of A/C unit by various brand names all use garden hose thread - the GE one is practically useless if I can't hook up a drain hose that properly seals, so I probably won't buy a GE in the future.

We want to help go over the drain hose requirements for you. The inside diameter is 11/16 (0.70) inches; 17.79 mm. The outside diameter is 15/16 (0.963) inches; 24.47 mm. We're going to pass your comments about the sound level over to our product team to review. That way we can look for improvements we can make for our models going forward.
