Keeps the room ice cold !

We absolutely love our new unit ! We have an enclosed garage that is now a room that used to get so hot and with the addition of this window unit it has been absolutely fantastic!

Good air conditioner

GE products, especially "Profile" have been consistently good in my experience. My last GE window air conditioner lasted 11 years and my GE washer lasted 30 years. This one is quiet and cools well.

Great cooling, but also extremely loud at times.

Overall the unit is expectedly normal, and even quiet on "quiet" mode, but there are moments it'll crank up so loud it sounds like the house is rattling. Going to call customer service to see if this is expected behavior.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
