Not perfect, still recommend

Installation was difficult. The window frame doesn’t allow the unit to sit flush on the sill so some brackets are left floating in air (See photo with red arrows). The side curtains didn’t fit well either and are bowed (see photo).
The unit is pretty quiet, but not as quiet as Midea’s U-Shaped model.
Cools well, but thermostat is a few degrees off from true indoor temperature.
The app is not very good. Can’t see temps without turning the unit on and overall the app is not very good.

AC Rattling and Squeaking

Out of the box, the air conditioner has lots of noises coming from the internals. Most likely the compressor. The cooling seems to work fine, but the excessive noise makes the unit unusable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great control and functionality

Love this ac. We actually bought three…two for our yoga studio and one for home. They are quiet, they keep things cool, and the app functionality is really convenient. The ac I use at home is louder and vibrates more, so not sure if it is the unit itself or the old windows surrounding it, but I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone.
