Disappointed

Wanted to love this AC, as I had done hours of research before purchasing, but am disappointed. Followed the recommended sizing guide and system seems too small for our space (bonus room above garage). Makes intermittent rattling noise and freezes up in very humid weather. Beautiful for window AC, but not functioning as advertised.

Will not run even one hour without error code. Followed all the instructions in manual
This unit is not designed well and should not be have critical errors within a few weeks out of the box. Dissatisfied and disappointed in this unit

This AC is really the best. I'm glad I chose a model that can be scaled wide or down in the installation. Google home works nice with AC.
All indicators turn off over time and I can not understand whether the air conditioner is working or not, It is really quiet.
I would have some light or digital clock on the AC panel to know that my Google assistant turned it on when I'm at home ))
I would recommend this to a friend!

Let the buyer beware!

We purchased 2 of these air conditioners in different sizes. One was defective right out of the box. GE deemed it not repairable, & we received a replacement 3 weeks ago. Meanwhile, the larger unit started making a horrible noise (I have a video but am not sure it will upload to this review) on “cool” setting. On “quiet”, it rumbles so much we can feel the vibration on both couches in the room. Last night, the 3-week old replacement unit also started to rumble. It woke me up at 3a.m., and I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. We were excited about the design of these, but I’m starting to hate them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good design but lacks some functionality.

My review of this product (GE Clear view 10,300 btu saddle window ac) is a bit different from the others I have seen here.
While I do like the design of this unit, it lacks some functionality that I was expecting.
The beauty of this unit is the saddle design which makes it a quieter unit than standard window units that sit on top of the window sill. Also this saddle design allows the use of the window to see outside and open the window when desired. This is why I love this design, however it's not without issues which I did not expect, as you will see below.....
First, this unit is not capable of adequately pumping the water to the outside, which means you have to remove the drain cap, pull the filter, and allow the water that has accumulated in the pan of the inside section of the unit to drain into a bucket inside your home, this must be done every 1 or 2 weeks or so, otherwise the water will eventually collect in the bottom pan inside and overflow onto your floor. If you are ok with draining the water every so often then this unit will likely be ok for you.
I have also noticed the bluetooth never works for me. However, I found bluetooth is not necessary since this unit also has WiFi connectivity. I have also found the phone App to be while very convenient, it frequently does not work properly. When it does work it's great to use.
Another annoying thing about this unit is trying to reset the filter warning. The clean filter warning comes on very often and requires you to clean the water filter, and the two air filters, then reset the filter warning. However, it seems like it should be easier to reset the filter warning but I found it to be difficult to do, this requires you to turn off the unit and unplug a few times until the filter resets on the unit and in the App.
All in all this unit looks good, cools well, and is fairly quiet compared to standard window units, so if you can live with the other issues I mentioned above then you might be satisfied with this unit.
GE has agreed to buy back this unit from me so I can decide what my options are on a different unit next year.
GE is in my opinion deserves credit for backing up their products and offering me the buy back option, thank you GE.

Amazing Window Unit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC unit works amazing! I installed it in my office at home and it has made the room so much more comfortable. It is a medium size room and cools down the entire thing even on the lowest setting. It is also not a loud unit and runs very quietly. It only took about 10 minutes to install by myself. Highly recommend!

It's about time someone reimagined the window AC. GE did just that. This unit is amazing, it only takes up about 4 in of window. The unit is super quiet and chills the room. Love the look.

Hard to install, noisy

Not the easiest to install. Makes a lot more noise that I feel it said it would. Is loud when it turns off and on. I thought I bought the model that made it so it would be less of a hard turn on and it is loud when it does turn on.
