Watch out for the sticker

The microwave looks great but when I attempted to take off the sticker in front it left all the adhesive so now it will be a project to get this off. Giving this a 3 for that reason. Why would Maytag do this???

Does not make the rear stove burners hard to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this range hood microwave is counter depth. My older range hood microwave stuck out from the cabinet more and it made it harder to use the rear burners of my stove. I am tall (5’11”). Might not be a problem for a more petite person. I also appreciate there is no turntable. Easier to clean. Overall I really like the microwave. Plus it is a neat feature that the vent only pops out when the microwave is in use. More streamlined appearance.

Never again

How this product ever made it to market astounds me. At 71 y.o.a. I have been using microwaves for 50 yrs. Never again would I even consider a machine without a turntable. You can’t just throw something into it. You HAVE to put it on a plate as everything burns on the bottom. One end always cooks before the other. You have to set it at half cooking time so you can turn it yourself. If it wasn’t such a chore to install, I’d have taken it back. In hindsight I wish I had. Poor. Poor. Poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the best microwave I’ve ever had. Its design looks amazing. Every function has detailed instructions. Its size is perfect for any use. I especially like the outside controls for quick warming. Reheat and defrost actually work. Price is unbelievable for what you get not to mention the sleek modern look it gave my kitchen.

Treat Yourself, You Deserve It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally treated myself to a new microwave. My old one from 2008 had snapped something in the door closure process and I have been using it by pulling on a piece of yarn to engage the door closure so it will run for a few years, My new Maytag is wonderful. Merry Christmas to me early in September. I had to shop around because I needed a push button open feature because I have trouble with my arms. Pulling open a door was not an option. Everyone visiting thinks it great as well. No turn table necessary. Great design.

Wonderful microwave! Would be a 5 but the sticker on the front door took me 30 minutes to remove using GooGone. Maytag, please use a removable sticker.
