Great Build, Bad Battery Life and Power Management

I bought this for school and, to be honest, it wasn't worth it. The build quality is superb. The speakers and display are great, the mousepad is a great size and the keys are nice and solid. However, the battery life and power management is extremely lacking. I can barely get through 4.5 hours of work before it's almost dead. This is terrible considering I only really use it for writing and the occasional streaming of music and movies (I have a desktop at home for intensive tasks). On top of that, often those simple tasks cause the laptop to get pretty warm and cause the fan to turn on. Considering the use and price of this product, I find this to be unacceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm very pleased with this computer. It's fast, well built, and thoughtfully made. I did a lot of comparison shopping before I purchased, and am really pleased with the choice I made. I'm also impressed with how good it sounds: I've never heard a laptop that sounds this good and gets this loud. All that said, there's a couple of really minor negatives. I wish that there was a place to store the pen inside the computer. It's a minor thing, but it would even be pretty helpful if there was a magnet in the pen and it could be attached to the Yoga similar to the Microsoft Surface. The fan does rev up pretty loud for reasons I don't fully understand, but it's minor. The webcam looks great, however I've found the Lenovo video tools to be a little gimmicky. It would be nice if you could use the "blur background" key for something other than turning FULL blur on or off.

I bought this thing brand new and it keeps having the plugged in not charging issue! I have tried to have it fixed multiple times and nothing works. Useless
