[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started setting up the laptop and before long, it had slowed to a crawl. I fought it for a couple of days and then decided to just reinstall Windows. After that, the laptop has performed beautifully. Best sound I have ever had in speakers; I'm hard of hearing and I don't need an external speaker or even my hearing aids! The display is rich and vibrant. Processing speed is fantastic! I could have done without some of Lenovo's bloatware, but I am actually using part of it. This is definitely a premium computer. I am very glad I bought it and I recommend it to you!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I run a small business with heavy CAD and graphic software as well as typical office work. I had a Lenovo W530 Thinkpad (desktop replacement) that worked well, but was heavy and more limited for multi-tasking. I researched options and came down to the Yoga 9i or HP Spectre x360. I went with the 9i trusting in it to keep up with our workloads. It has done so and looks at me with a "that all you got?". I have had multiple programs simultaneously running along with many tabs on three screens, and it handles it all like a dream. One would easily think of this as a cute ultralight computer and not the desktop replacement that it is proving to be. The screen is amazing, and having to work with architectural drawings, allows me to easily see the smallest details without zooming in. The keyboard is what one expects from Lenovo in a well spaced, tactile friendly way. If I have one complaint, it's that I'd love to have seen a matching layout of USB-A and USB-C ports on the right side as well as the left. I got a multi port adapter that takes care of that problem (needed them for the three screens), but having to commit only to one side of the computer to plug in the USB-A is a mild inconvenience. Overall, I have no qualms with this laptop. Don't shy away thinking it cannot handle serious work. It can, and asks for more!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lenovo yoga 9i is a superb machine that has excellent speakers, build quality, and design. This machine suites the needs of a student well. My Lenovo has a minor flaw where the pen disconnects randomly but otherwise is an excellent machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i think it rocks. several suggestions if you going to use it with an egpu. i have mine hooked up to sonnettech 750ex with a radeon 6900xt. and it is great on 4k. but to help with proper air flow, bend the laptop completely back. arching it. this will turn off the monitor so have one hooked up to your egpu.
