The door swings both ways and that is really useful for us. It’s a surprisingly important feature for our use and it’s been a great gate. The open mechanism is easy to use as well.

Very easy to install and love that we don't have to screw anything into the wall.
Also I read a few reviews complaining about the gap on the top of the lock. It's not a structure fault, it will close up once it's correctly installed (just keep screwing it tighter) it is noted in the instructions.

We couldn’t use the gate as in instruction manual it said not to install the gate on top of the stairs which is where we need it. I didn’t find this information upon ordering and I think it’s important as not all parents know which gates are meant for top and which are for bottom of stairs. Thankfully, customer service was quick to initiate a return. Still waiting for refund but at least I have peace I could return it because I bought it through their website and not third party site.
