Does the job!

Efficient room A/C

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the unit for about a month now and love it. I work overnights, and this air conditioner gives just enough ambient noise to make sleeping easier. The only thing you really hear is the fan, and I sleep with a fan anyway. I really like how I can set the temp and put it on auto and it keeps the room the way I like it. The the remote is handy if I what to change anything, and not have to get out of bed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well - quiet - energy saving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to replace my old window A/C unit that quit working in my room addition. After researching various units I chose this Frigidaire unit. I like it because it is compact, was easy to install, and is relatively quiet. I also like the energy saving mode because I can leave it on when I'm not there and the fan only comes on once in a while to keep the room from getting too hot. The remote is easy to use and works great from my desk across the room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We only AC our bedrooms for sleeping comfort. Just added this unit to the lower level bedroom. Works well and is relatively quiet. Especially like the foam inserts to help insulate the expansion sides. Good value for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed my unit yesterday in anticipation of the first high humidy with high temperature days. I took a leisurely 3 hours to do various related tasks (repairs, adjustments, accommodations) at this time. Works as expected.
Pros: 1) not as heavy as previous unit, 2) Installation instructions are the best A/C ones I've used, 3) Additional mounting HW makes it possible to better secure the side curtains in my (wood window with storm window) installation. 4) electronic control facilitates incorporation of compressor-fan controls that capture cooling energy lost by older units when fans stopped with the compressor, 3) Quite quiet on low fan speed, 5) Extra insulation for the side curtains may improve cooling capability and may also reduce disturbances from outside noises.

CONS: 1) Evidently the electronic innards radiate or react to electronic radiation because there is a specification regarding keeping this unit and other electronics separated by (1 meter?). And my window mounted radio receiver seems to be affected as this unit changes operating modes. 2) In order to keep the room temperature regulated, this unit turns the fan ON periodically even if the temperature is not elevated just to keep the internal thermostat at the current ROOM temperature. Works but for people who sleep with the A/C ON and are light sleepers, it may be disturbing - so use LOW fan speed to minimize the noise - the compressor is VERY quiet.

Wonderful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, the unit works as advertised. We have it in our bedroom widow so we can sleep in the cool, while leaving the main house at a high temperature. The unit isn't so loud as to keep you awake....I would buy this again....
