Slightly Weak and Unresponsive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit due to the positive reviews found online. However, it's a bit weak and it takes a while for the air to be felt around the room. When I change the temperature setting, the unit does not respond right away. If it's set on "energy savings" and the temperature is 68 and I move it down to 64- the unit will stay "off" for quite some time and only turn on after a while. However, if you give this unit time- it will work properly and turn the room cool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

RaeSchorr, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. In this energy saver mode, the fan will continue to run for 1 minute after the compressor turns off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. Hope this helps! -Jennifer

not as cold as manual model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one manual and one remote control basically same unit, the remote control model is not as cold and after it is turned off you have to reset it because it goes back to energy saver mode. Also it cycles on and off to much and will only run couple seconds and shuts off over and over, and in the little time it comes on could not possibly make a difference in room temp. And beacuase of this it wakes you when sleeping, constantly cycling on and off, i should have just bought another manual model, works much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hate that you are not fully satisfied with your new purchase. Your air conditioner is factory set to run in in eco (energy saver) mode. You can leave it in eco mode to help save energy and money. If you would like to switch out of eco mode, touch the button until another mode is selected.
When the air conditioner is in the eco (energy saver) mode, the fan will continue to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. It will the cycle on for 20 seconds at a 10 minute interval until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. I sincerely hope this helps!

Hate it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is unbelievably noisey. Wanted it for my bedroom but it is not possible to sleep when it runs. Also does not cool well. Set it at 72 and it does not kick on until temp reaches 80. Totally unhappy with this AC.

Well, It Works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is extremely easy to install and has all the expected functions, though one function is of questionable value and the is the energy saver mode. When in energy saver mode you have to set the thermostat for a much cooler temperature (say 5 degrees) in order to approximate the desired comfort. That is because it waits so long to kick back on. We have never actually used the function because of such wide swings in the room temperature.

Very quiet unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit to cool a 250 sq room and it does a great job. The AC is very quiet and have great features. With the remote control you set how much time you want the unit on. Energy consumption is very low too. The add on I would add to the unit is a drain hose. This unit also takes out a lot of humidity and a drain hose is a perfect complement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace a manual AC unit of the exact same size. It works well so far and the remote and energy saver mode are great features! We installed it in a small travel trailer and it cools fairly quickly. The thermostat seems to be off by about 5 degrees, but once you know that you can set it accordingly. It is a bit noisy, but I have yet to hear of a window AC that was not.
I would recommend this to a friend!
