Hello! Thank you for providing feedback. We are sorry to learn of your early encounter with this unit. These are the typical normal sounds you might hear from your air conditioner: Gurgling or hissing” noise may be heard due to refrigerant passing through evaporator during normal operation. At the front of the unit, you may hear the sound of rushing air being moved by the fan. Droplets of water hitting condenser during normal operation may cause “pinging or swishing” sounds. Also, Today’s high efficiency compressors may have a "high pitched chatter" during the cooling cycle. Lastly, the unit may vibrate and make noise because of poor wall or window construction or incorrect installation.

Cools ok but if you live in a humid climate like me you’re going to hear lots of water gurgling noises all the time. Very annoying for sleep. Wish we had gotten a brand that has a drain plug.
