Quiet and Cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third room A/C by Frigidaire. After about three years we moved the first one from our bedroom to an office in my workshop. It's about five years old now and still going strong. The second unit started freezing up after two years. I know this is a sign of a refrigerant leak. The cost to repair would be close to (or more than) the cost of a new unit, so we bought a new one. The third unit is just over a month old. Pleased with its cool and quiet operation. Perhaps the lowest cost unit with a remote control. We use this unit only at night so we don't have to cool the entire house with the central system, and as a "white noise" generator to cover outside road noise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the job handily

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this A/C for about one month, through some brutally hot and humid days. It’s been easy to use (our 4-year old granddaughter has learned to use it) and has kept her room perfectly cool. It’s automatic feature has been reliable.

Fine for a small room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to cool my bedroom. It's less noisy than other models, but still loud for sensitive sleepers. Does a great job of precooling the room though, so I still sleep very well. I don't use the energy saver mode, as it switches on and off much too frequently and the room doesn't cool as fast.
Be careful if it's shipped--mine arrived with the top plastic grill broken. It doesn't affect performance, so it wasn't worth complaining, but something to keep an eye on.
