Compact and Easy to Install and Control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit for my home office, so I can keep it cooler than the rest of the house. Have another, larger Frigidaire in the bedroom which we have been very happy with. This one certainly does the trick, cools the room quickly and keeps a nice steady temperature. Only complaints are that fan noise on High is enough that it's uncomfortable to have a phone conversation, but so far leaving the fan on low has been good enough. Also, energy saver mode is almost useless... it will let the room get much warmer than I like. Good for leaving it over a weekend so your room doesn't climb to 90°, but not useful for every day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frigidaire - Quiet and Ice Cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a window unit in one of the rooms in my house. I bought the Frigidaire 5000 btu unit with remote and easily installed it. The room is now comfortable and the unit is quiet.

Could Have done Better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit arrived in excellent condition with all parts needed for installation. Unit looks nice has good features.
I bought this unit for my second floor bedroom (size 12 x 12) it cools ok but I think a 6000 BTU would have been better. This unit is set at 70 degrees when sleeping day or night where my old unit was set at 73 degrees
You get a lot of day light through the cabinet discharge air/vent area which I did not get through the old unit are the unit in the other bedroom. Just looking through it, it looks like the inside housing is made of foam. I work a swing shift and sleep two days a week during the day so I keep this room dark.
Sorry I can’t give this unit a good rating.

Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in nevada and the heat wave is crazy right now 100 degrees every day. Usually I have to turn the a.c. down or in fan mode because I freeze. I had someone help me install it because my window is a huge sliding window. The filter is hard to get in and out so don't install too close to wall like I had done. I wish the vents would tilt down it's right over my bed and only tilt up a little and the directional swivels don't direct air enough. Wished I'd gotten the 6000 bcu because it's so hot right now. I have a very small bedroom too. The remote is very handy.
