Terrible design for air conditioner filter

The air conditioner works fine, although I probably should have bought a 6000, rather than a 5000. But the first time that I pulled out the air conditioner filter, from its slot on the side of the unit, to clean it, it would not slide back in again. With past Frigidaire air conditioners that I have purchased, the front opened up and you were able to simply take out the unit to clean. I have no idea why Frigidaire decided that a slot was a better design--it is NOT.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly As Expected

I have been using this AC unit for about a month now and have been very pleased with its performance.
It's not the most powerful or versatile unit in the world, but for the price paid it does the job. I use it in a 300 sq ft space and it maintains a good constant 72 degrees without issue. Even running full time it didn't make my electric bill aggravating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not that quiet

Cools well when in cool mode but when on auto not so much. Decent unit but many more ACs out there at a much lower price point. Energy rating is excellent and unit barely adds to electric bill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looch, we are glad to hear about your energy savings with your new room air conditioner. When in economy mode the fan will continue to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. Page 4 of your Owner’s Manual, for your model, covers the normal operating sounds you may hear. If the sounds you are experiencing are not listed, please reach out to us directly. A pleasant surprise!

I LOVE the way the room became sooo cool sooo fast. In fact, I had to keep turning the temperature UP because the room got real cold really fast. So, come on, Los Angeles, with your 80-90-100 degree weather. I'm ready fir you this time.

Great for bedroom

This unit is perfect to keep a bedroom cool. We stay downstairs where it's cool during the day, but the bedroom gets quite hot. Instead of cooling the whole house we keep just the bedroom cool. One thing to note is that its auto feature cycles the air every few min. If your a light sleeper it may wake you. Otherwise it's nice whitenoise. I also like the remote control. It let's me turn it off in the middle of the night without getting up.
One last thing. The displayed temperature does not seem to be the correct temperature of the room. I think our room is too big for it to get the real room temperature. I just set it down a few degrees to compensate.
Overall I'm very happy with this product.

The unit cools great, however the remote needs a update. It needs a screen to monitor what setting is now.
