[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought because my older unit was, indeed, older. It is "permanently" installed in the bedroom window as I no longer can lift it in and out seasonally. Works fine, I like how it cycles on and off reacting to the set temperature, BUT is uncomfortably noisy. Even if not in a bedroom, the noise is almost too much. No solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not happy with this unit. Takes forever to cool the small room it is in. The control panel lights are so bright I have to cover them to sleep.

Please keep in mind that this 5,00 BTU unit works best in a 100 - 150 sq. ft. room, a room bigger than this will struggle to stay cool. If your room is that size, check out this quick troubleshooting video to see if they help with your issue.

Also, the display and all LED indicators on the control panel of the unit can be turned off by pressing the "Light" button on the remote control. If any other button of the control panel and remote control is pressed after that, the unit will beep to indicate it works, and the display and LED indicators will illuminate accordingly, but they will turn off again in 5 seconds if no further operation.

Nice A/C Unit

It leaks water. I literally had it less than 6 months ago. It caused mold to my wall so now I have to replace that.
