Thought it would be quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works ok as far as cooling. On low speed, the motor makes a very irritating high pitch squealing noise, intermittently. This usually occurs at night as the unit is in my bedroom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the eco mode. However at bit under-powered for a 100 squared foot room. Front panel lights difficult to read from across the room. Hard to read "mode" from 8 feet. Very, very noisy. Would not buy again.

Your air conditioner may make many sounds, such as high-pitched chatter, vibration, ping, swishing, the sound of rushing air, gurgle, or hissing; which are a part of the normal operations and can be viewed in your manual on page 5.
If your air conditioner does not feel cool to your liking, you want to ensure that the filter is clean and that the front of the air conditioner is not blocked by drapes, blinds, or furniture, as this can restrict air distribution.

I'm very pleased with this air conditioner. Installation was effortless and it looks beautiful in the bedroom window. It cools quickly and runs quietly.

Happy with my Purchase

I bought this AC to cool a 163 sq. ft. attic office because my central air just couldn't quite do the job. I picked it mostly because of its 12.2 SEER, Energy Saver mode, Auto Fan feature, and timer, but also because of the price, brand, and color.
It works great! It's not too loud, and blows cold air all the way across my 14' long room!
I did have a little trouble installing the side panels because the pictures in the installation guide didn't show enough detail, but I figured it out.
In Energy Saver mode, the fan cycles on every 10 minutes for 10 or so seconds, I guess to sample the room temperature. It's a little irritating. But it has a "cool" mode where the fan stays on all the time and just the compressor cycles, so I can switch to that if it's too irritating then use the timer to save a little energy while I'm at work. Nice to have a choice.
I'm very pleased and am glad I chose it!
I would recommend this to a friend!
