Great Little Air Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this ac unit to go in a bedroom on the warm end of my house that doesn’t get good airflow from the central ac. My first impressions were that the box was smaller and lighter than I expected. It was very easy to take out of the box and set up. This thing is so small and looks sleek. l have the larger 10k BTU version and this one looks like a little baby version of the larger one, it’s cute. I love how energy efficient it is, with its CEER rating of 12.1 the highest wattage I’ve seen on my Killawatt meter 290-330 which is crazy low. It has a soft start compressor so it’s very smooth/quiet when the compressor cycles on and off. That’s also good Incase you ever needed to run this off a generator or inverter setup. The remote sensing feature is a huge plus too. It’s accurate and it keeps the rooms temperature consistent within 3* of its set point, It works very well. Overall this is a great little window unit and I would definitely recommend it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Frigidaire air conditioner. The 1st one lasted over 10 yrs and could've lasted longer had there been an auto temperature function to shut on and off. It just ran to the point if it not cooling anymore. This new model purchase has that function and we'll see how long it lasts. I love the remote control and variable settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent little air conditioner! I really like that is 12.1 CEER and energy star rated... Blows Ice cold air. The eco mode is the best thing on the planet. Not only does it save energy between cycles, it prevents the room from turning into a high humidity swamp.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] easy to install. (Actually my daughter and her husband did it as I am in my mid +70's) instantly felt the cooling air when turning on. Higher SEER than our old one and also most of the ones I had seen on shopping. always trusted Frigidaire products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit for my 2nd floor bedroom, which can get way too hot in the summer. It works well and I have no complaints.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Issues with unit in winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to replace an identical unit that gave out after 5 years of continuous use. I have an unusual situation (medical issue) where this unit is required to run all year round in a northern Midwest state. During cold periods when the temps drop below freezing the unit simply refuses to function. If we get snow, then the unit starts to loudly rattle. My guess is that the design allows ice to form inside the unit and the fan bangs on the ice. I have attached a video. The unit I replaced worked just fine all year round with no issues. Once it gets back above freezing the unit goes back to working properly again. I suspect we will replace it in the summer with a different brand.

Patenam, I truly regret to hear the air conditioner is not functioning as you expected. Your machine will not operate properly when the outdoor temperature falls below 60° F. Doing so will cause the coil to freeze. To defrost the coil, set FAN ONLY mode (page 10 in your Owner’s Manual). Please read your warranty on the last page of your Owner’s Manual. Using your air conditioner in a way that is not in accordance with the provided instructions may void your warranty (number 7 under exclusions). Please reconnect with us directly for assistance by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 800-944-9044. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth
