Hot flashes and sweats caused by hormone therapy.

Day and night sweats and Hot flashes from hormone therapy for prostate cancer.
I run the one hour cooling cycle repeatedly during the day and my Embr Wave 2 pretty much stops them.
Unfortunately it does not provide any relief during the night/sleeping.

Does not stop hot flashes

Does not stop hot flashes but I think it does help. I find it useful to immediately activate it when I feel flashes. Before I had to go to the fan and now I sometimes get enough relief with the Embr Wave.

The overnight program didn't seem to work for me. I still woke up about every 1 - 1 1/2 hours. So I am just using the button to cool me when I wake up. It is nice to have a way to stop the hot flash when it occurs. By the way, I am 75 and have been having hot flashes for 20+ years.

Wanted it to work

I really, really wanted this Embr Wave 2 to work! I can't take hormones anymore so this was to be the replacement. It worked OK for hot flashes during the day, but didn't do the trick for the night sweats. I adjusted the intensity, but was still waking up every one to two hours because of the night sweats. I liked the fact when I engaged the device for a hot flash, I got an immediate COLD sensation on my wrist similar to ice cubes. It felt pretty good and did shorten the hot flash. The Embr Wave 2 was a little bulky and slightly difficult to keep in the correct spot on my wrist, until I got used to it.
I recommended this device to everyone I talked to, since everyone is different, it should work for most people. I am heartbroken to have to send it back. It just didn't keep the night sweats at bay so I could sleep.
