It feels cool for a

It feels cool for a few seconds and then starts to feel warm. The face of it gets almost hot when in cooling mode. It definitely does not stay cool long enough

I am disappointed. I bought this for hot flashes, and as directed gave it a few months to work. Unfortunately, it does not help with my hot flashes- I exposure h more for this steep price! I’m hoping to return it.

Works for a 13 yo with chronic eczema

My 13 year old son has had chronic eczema since he was 3 months old. While he is much better about self-control when it comes to scratching, oftentimes he is uncomfortable when his temperature swings hot and cold depending on the environment. When the first Embr model came out, I purchased it for my son; and it seemed to help somewhat. Within the first year, the strap broke, and we got a replacement due to warranty. That one lasted about a year when the same kind of breakage happened. So when I saw the new design of the Embr Wave 2, I decided to take a chance on the new model. And let me tell you, it is decades beyond the initial model in design and the cooling and warming features. My son wears it and is able to adjust to his environment rather quickly. He has not complained about swings in temperature. The charging unit is more user friendly. And all of his friends want to try it on at school to see how it works. It may seem kind of ridiculous to buy this for a teen, but it really has seemed to make his life more enjoyable in the last month. I am hopeful that the new design will hold up and last him for at least a few years of wear.

Hard to please and convinced it is worth it!

I generally love my Embr Wave 2! To me, the wave works as a welcome distraction from the discomfort of the too-hot sensation I’m having everywhere, and it gives me something to focus my attention on. That really makes it worth it to me! Maybe it does also help with the general intensity, but I haven’t noticed that as much. I crave it because it is a help, even if it is subtle. I have been wearing it day and night for three weeks now, and use it mainly for relief from hot flashes, and from warm afternoons in my Hawaii home. I love that the battery lasts about a week despite multiple uses per day and night!
I would like a couple nice-to-have features, like specifying which program I want as my default cool program and being able to set different cool programs on the buttons instead of just which one does the default cool and default warm. I would also love love love to set the duration of each individual cool wave more, especially the first one. I thought the app may lend some of those features, but it only does very basic customization.
My only physical design challenge has been with scratching the face up since I spend so much time typing, but since it’s worn and the inside of the wrist it doesn’t show much, except to me. I also wish I could switch up bands more, but that is quite minor. Waterproofing would be great as well. I understand it is water resistant, but almost have jumped in the water with it a few times and that would be a costly and sad mistake.

This is the best money I have ever spent! Worth every penny! This is MAGIC for hot flashes. It seems to have such a cumulative effect for me that I can go for a whole day without getting hot flashes when I’m NOT wearing it. Amazing! Wonderful! Perfect! Magic! I recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you EmbrWave! This has saved my sanity.
