It’s an amazing , I have a hard time staying cool and this is a great tool to help me stay out of the light headed phase of getting too hot! Especially while I’m working! I also enjoy the 8 hour sleep setting in the app, it helps calm your mind and helps you drift off to sleep easier while keeping you cooler while you sleep! What an amazing invention!

My New Little Companion

I like the quick hot or cold exactly when I need it. The one thing that I don’t love is that on the cold setting, the top of the device gets pretty hot. I understand the mechanical need - you have to create heat in order to create cold. But it’s a tiny drawback when you’re in the midst of a hot flash. Overall, though, I like this new little companion.

Really helps to cool down from hot flashes! Looks like a stylish watch. The light is bright at night when I use it and sometimes wakes up my husband. That’s the only downside.

I purchased the wave to use for hot flashes during the night. I use a combination of sleep medications and others items (fan, etc) so not sure if this has improved my quality of sleep tremendously but sticking with it for a few months to see if that helps. I have also used it on occasion during the day when I have been cold (instead of turning up the heat) and find it good for that. I use the comfort band and prefer it to the metal one.

Not as helpful as I was hoping

The Embr does help a little with the hot flashes, but doesn’t of course prevent them. And I am still waking up sweating at least 3 or 4 times a night, even while using the overnight cool setting, on high. This was my last try at something to help with hot flashes, and ultimately I decided to go on low-dose estrogen, which has helped more than anything else I’ve tried. I do feel like the heat function works a little better, but I concede that everyone’s experience will be different. Also, when I am flashing, I don’t want the cool going in and out - “waving” - I want it strong and steady. A couple of time, it actually got warm even though I told it to cool. It is still useful for overnight, but I’ve kind of stopped using it during the day.

If anything it’s just ok and that’s being generous. I thought it would be life changing for me but that’s not the case. It does very little to help with the hot flashes I have due to the medication I’m on. Very disappointing. I also wear it only at night because I like to wear a watch during the day so I can’t put it on my left wrist and it gets in the way when I tried to wear on my right wrist

Warm & cozy

I’ve only tried the Wave 2, so I’m not familiar with the first version. It’s easy to wear (I use the nylon comfort band due to metal allergies) and it’s light. As others said, the only time I run into discomfort is at the computer. I overheat often, and the cooling function can only do so much - sometimes it feels painful on my wrist. To my surprise, now that it’s cooler out, the warming function is my favorite. I love using it to take naps! I use both warming and cooling to regulate through the day so it’s getting more use than I expected.
