It is okay. For the degree of hot flashes that I have, it doesn’t cool me down. And when it stops cooling it feels as thought it is getting hot.

Not thrilled. Band does not stay in place so it ends up on top of my hand.
It’s cool pun intended meaning wow a interesting new gadget but it does not have any cooling effect on me.
I do not recommend.

Great training tool

This is an amazing tool for training. I used it too cool me down when running and wore it for both my 20 miler I'm Florida and thus year's hot Chicago Marathon. Not 5 stars because the band I ordered doesn't handle sweat well so will need to update/replace the band that came with it

Smaller size = Less effective

My low survey score has nothing to do with how easy/hard it is using the device or the learning curve, but about how it doesn't perform well. So far, I'm not impressed. I was an early adopter of original Wave 1, and this Wave 2 promised to be better at cooling, but I'm actually finding it to be about the same or possibly less effective.
The biggest reason for this is that the thermal plate is SO small. On Wave 1 the thermal plate is much larger, basically a large rectangle, almost the whole profile of the ceramic base sitting above it (52mm). But on Wave 2, the thermal plate is tiny by comparison, just a small square underneath the round body. (which was already reduced in size to 44mm) I was expecting the plate to take up the entire bottom surface, like before. But the website, and press photos don't show the underbelly at all.
It seems about 50% of the surface area of thermal plate on Wave 1. That make a huge difference in how effective it can be. I feel sort of misled and it definitely doesn't work as well as Wave 1. I have gotten the chance to test them side by side, with the Wave 1 on one wrist, and the Wave 2 on the other. With both operating at maximum intensity and duration, I was able to feel the cooling effect more prominently on the original Wave 1. Again, this is all thanks to the larger thermal plate.
Don't get me wrong, there are things about the Wave 2 that I do like, such as the charging pedestal is a nifty idea. And the redesigned app is fine, (although I don't understand why there is now two separate apps for each device) But the wearable itself doesn't satisfy its primary function that I bought it for. It would have been better, if the thermal place extended all the way to the edges of the circular base. Since it is not any better that Wave 1, there is no justification for spending the money. So I intend to return the device, and hope that a version 3 in a few years is an improvement on design.
Attached is a photo showing what they don't show you on the website: The two devices side-by-side, and revealing the comparative sizes of the thermal plates underneath.

I love my Waves. This is just what I have needy as I have suffered with hot flashes for years. Definitely a must for anyone who does. And I recommend it to all my friends who do.

I love it. It is so much better than the Wave 2 on my small wrist and it does not bump on everything. The only thing I don’t like as much, at least till I get used to it, is the very small buttons. The other thing I love is that with frequent handwashing and Covid I no longer have to worry that splashing will cause malfunction. It is very attractive and does not have the clunkiness of the Wave 2. I don’t discern any appreciable difference in the amount of cold it dispenses. I use it almost exclusively on cool or cold to combat hot flashes. It works beautifully as long as you catch the hot flash coming on. I love that you can use your HSA to pay for it as well!
