Comfortable, but…

The Embr is comfortable unless I am typing. I do wish it was smaller, at least a lower profile.
I worry about it’s water resistance but so far it has withstood a humid August in Louisiana.

Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis / Hypothyroidism Relief!

I am so happy to have found this device! Ever since I had half of my thyroid removed, I have been suffering from waves of hot flashes. My doctors don’t understand it, since that usually only happens with hyperthyroidism. Therefore, they couldn’t help me. I was burning up when I was cooking. At night, I couldn’t sleep without a fan, couldn’t use a blanket, and would wake up sweating. Now, I wear this to bed every night. I can use my blanket now, no more fans, and no more sweating! I cannot believe it! I will also wear it for short stints when I’m cooking and if I feel a hot flash coming on while relaxing, and I feel better almost immediately. I’m hooked, and I’m telling everyone. Thank you Embr Labs!

Got the new wave 2

Got the new wave 2 after having the original wave for about a year. Loved the first one and this one is better in several ways. The fit and feel is better, making it much more comfortable to wear, especially if you wear the wave overnight. The cooling also seems to be stronger with more options. I love how you can program several custom cycles as well with each cycle having individual setting for cooling and heating. Overall this new version is an improvement on an already great device.

This has changed my day to day life in so many ways. I’m always warm and I hate it.
As soon as I hit the button to start, I can feel the coldness. I set the side button for 10 mins and it usually does the trick during the day, small burst of relief. At night I usually turn it on for an hour at a time.

Sweet relief

I recently got the Wave2 as an upgrade from the Wave1 that I’ve had for two years. I originally used it on the warm setting because I’m so cold natured, but since I started having hot flashes this year, I’ve been using the cool sessions more often. It really does help with temperature regulation, and I find it very soothing in general. I like the improved aesthetic and it feels less clunky on my wrist than the Wave1. As others have commented, it really does give a blast of cool faster than the original, which is a huge relief when I’m having a hot flash. The app is easy to use and has more setting options than the earlier version. The new charging puck is super convenient too, makes charging much easier than before. I’d definitely buy it again, and I absolutely recommend it to any woman suffering through hot flashes, or just anyone who has difficulty with temperature regulation. It really is a huge relief!

Its like wearing a watch. People often are curious as to what kind of watch it is. I will never tell, its way more fun watching them try to guess what it could be. I have hot flashes that interrupt my sleep patterns so I programmed it thru my app on my phone to cool me for 8hr and I have had positive results. Can’t what to see how well it warms me during a chilly out door football game.

Would be a five star product but that band isn’t stable. Band loosens up FAR too easily.
Want to love the hell out of this product but could probably give it 3 stars and not lose any sleep… really poor design for the band makes it (unfortunately) unwearable.

It’s kind of hard to figure out when to activate the cooling. I was under the impression that it would automatically start cooling me, however I have to activate it. But it does really help me cool down!
