Nice but not nice enough - hope its user error (usualy is wi th me)

Great looks, solid build/material; however… Issue is I thought the top and bottom could be set independently - seems one or t’other. Seems power can go to a balance of top/bottom and linked to temperature and this dictates heat of the stone obvs…
We can’t seem to get the base to cook fully before top is past its prime.
I’m hoping it’s user error. Help….

Family Pizza Night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was considering buying the Volt for a while and I’m glad I did. I would say there’s a learning curve as a first time pizza oven owner. My biggest issue with first use was the amount of smoke that is generated indoors by the Volt if you have too much flour or if ingredients fall onto the stone. Since first use, I’ve learned several techniques that have significantly reduced the smoke and have enjoyed pizza night with the family. I am glad I purchased this pizza oven. The pizza cooks quickly and evenly with a couple of turns during the process. I would recommend not putting it on the highest setting until you have overcome the learning curve, it just takes a minute or two longer to cook the pizza on a lower setting (650 for example).
